pink potatoes asked: I’m four months pregnant and CAN NOT wait to find out my baby’s gender, I’m going to the doctor, in 15 minutes and bringing my laptop with me for the waiting room. If it already has a gender, I will tell the nurse to do an ultrasound. I have two other kids, but we didn’t want to find out their gender. And that was 8 years ago, so all help is appreciated!

Ċħrïაtოåა Iח Ċåחådå asked: My boyfriend’s friend and his wife are expecting their third child. They already have two boys ages three and one. I thought since they are being so kind to let me stay with them and my boyfriend for three weeks, I’d get them something for Christmas.
I don’t know the gender of the baby, so would a gender neutral baby gift be appropriate for their Christmas gift?
I have no idea what that will be. Suggestions are appreciated!

Mouse asked: There are people in this world that can’t even have a baby. Me and my husband have no trouble getting pregnant and we have 3 boys. I am happy just being able to have my boys. Why is it that some people act like it is such a big deal that you have a boy and a girl? Its like they are saying “we aren’t a familly unless we have at least one child of each gender”?
Another thing why do some people feel like they have to say “I’m sorry” or “i guess you can always try again” when they see we have 2 boys and that a 3rd one is one the way?
You gotta love nkiblueeyes’ answer!!ROFLMAS!!! I am being judgemental by wanting to know why SOME people want to make something out of the fact that they have one gender and not the other. Not only was this question asked because of personal experience(people have actually said these things to me), but also from some questions on here from people wanting to know how to “make” a certain gender baby.

Betty asked: In Canada, the ultrasound tech and doctors are not allowed to tell the parents the gender of the baby, but some couples do find out.
How can I ask the ultrasound tech if its a boy or girl and what can I say to convince her to tell us.
Thanks for the answers so far. Its very weird, I live in BC. Two doctors have told me now that they are not allowed to tell the *** of the baby. They say that in some “cultures” the parents will abort if its not a boy. Well, I don’t belong in any minority groups.

KelBean asked: I have had several people tell me that by looking at my belly or my complexion, that they can tell what gender my baby is. One said she learned the trick from her mother when she was young and I have heard about the carrying high or low thing. I’ve studied my pregnant belly and I think it just looks like every other pregnant belly. Please only answer if you know what complexion or any other outside things have to do with this.
I didnt ask whether you thought it was a wives tale or a crock of lies, I asked a simple question. And yes, I know its not scientific. I already know its a boy, I just wondered how people know.

lady_dragonfly_27 asked: I am five months pregnant and due to have an ultrasound done to determin the *** of the baby in a couple of weeks, but first I thought it would be fun to try out some old wives tales for gender prediction to see if they might be correct. Does anyone know of any?

Ian’s Mommy asked: How many of you had a correct intuition about your baby’s gender after changing your mind? Like, you felt it was a boy initially, but then after a few months in, you decided it is a girl, and then found out it was a girl?

flowerangel_20 asked: I am having my first ultrasound next month at around 16ish weeks (they’re also figuring out dates at this ultrasound since we have no clue when this baby was conceived) and we have asked to find out if it’s a boy or a girl. Is a regular ultrasound (as opposed to the new 3-D ones) fairly accurate at seeing what the gender is?

is there any other way to figure out the gender of the baby other than just an ultrasound or amniocentesis?
